Julie and Matt Sing For SUDC
The #singforsudc #useyourvoicechallenge doesn't require the wasting of resources- in fact, participating ensures that one of our most valuable resources, our voices, don't go to waste. Make a simple video of you singing a song you sang to your babies while parked in your car, make a silly video and sing with your kids at the park- you can choose song to, for or about children. It can be as easy as singing "Twinkle Twinkle" or "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and over and done with in 20 seconds! Donate $10, nominate three friends and they have 24 hours to post their own video.
I chose (an abridged version of) "When I'm With You" by JJ Heller because I love how it expresses love in such a short and sweet way- I haven't sang it very often since his passing and had a hard time getting through it, but I did it and so can you. Make it fun, make it silly, make it short and sweet- this isn't about fanciness, perfection or quality, it's about our kids.
I have a handful of people to nominate to kick this off, but your minimum is three. With that, I call on my mom, Jan Johnson, Amy Brown of Zen Parenting, Ruthie Davis of Birth Without Fear, Sarah Schnittger, Ariana Kaiser, Jaime Carter, Shanelle Edwards, Angel Ethell, Suzi Mieger, Cassady Glass-Hastings and Cullen Haffner-Mitchell to make their own videos. You have 24 hours: go!
